But we can be friends...

I'm going to have to post to this blog every single day if the drama persists, and my life continues to be interesting, hehe.

I met an Alpha on Friday when I went to the school to pick up my check. He seemed pretty cool, and he wanted me to chill with him and his LB's that day, but I told him I was going to the outlet mall (cuz you know that's real important). So after conversing with him, and then having one of my endlessly entertaining conversations with Derek, I was off to the wonder of the outlets. Apparently, it wasn't that wonderful though, and I only picked up a pair of cropped pants from a place that will not be named. On the way home, I went to the natural food store, which only exacerbated my grocery shopping addiction. So this basically means that I went grocery shopping twice in one week.

Despite the fact that I went grocery shopping twice this week, I still had a meager dinner that night, lol. After I ate dinner and played that Sean Paul CD for the 50th time that day (no joke), I got a call from my friend Alex, asking if I wanted to come out to a bar with her, Brad, Nitin, Norm, and Lisa. Of course I said yeah, cuz I didn't have shit to do. So I went to her townhouse before we all went to the bar. I was able to forge a friendship with Brad (we weren't on very good terms the night before, hehe). Now, before we went to the bar, Nitin asked me if I wanted to drink. I was like, yeah, but I don't mind driving. Then he told me that it was cool with Alex, Norm, and Brad that I stay at their place if I was intoxicated. Though the offer was quite gracious, I refused (I didn't want anyone seeing me in the morning!). So then I drove a couple of people to the bar, and the night began. I can't really say much about what happened during the night, but I obtained a higher level of awareness. I still don't know how I feel about it all. I know that I had a reaction that was different than what you'd expect, but this was simply because all of my longings and desires are currently inconceivable. LOL, not really.

On Saturday, I had to wait for the damn Comcast internet guy to come and set up wireless internet, so I wouldn't have to keep using this ghetto cable to connect. Unfortunately, Vanessa took her comp home, so he was unable to hook up both computers. So now we have to wait til Thursday to get wireless. (FYI it was the same sketchy cable guy that made the infamous list that is now on fridge).

Finally, the excitement of the evening came: a step show at Yale! I went to UNH to meet up with the Alpha from yesterday, and his bruhs. Everyone was really nice, and I waited for them to get ready in the dorm. Jermaine and his roommate have the nicest dorm in the world, it's smaller than my luxury apartment, but it's bigger than everyone else's regular apartment. All in all, it was huge for a dorm room. It took awhile for people to get ready, but finally we left for Yale. Yale's campus basically comprises most of Downtown New Haven. I parallel parked (go me!!!!) and we walked onto the campus. I must say, I really don't like the architecture of Yale's general campus. I loved the cathedral, but I don't like it inside of the campus. In fact, it looks like a prison, and the Yaliens (Vanessa and I have given Yalies this nickname) are the convicts. Seriously, there were prison bars everywhere. The windows had bars, the gate was a barred gate, and we needed a keycard to get in. Finally, we got into this little courtyard (the damn campus is like a maze), and found the cafeteria that the step show would be in. Um ok, the colored people are confined to the cafeteria for performances? It didn't look like the traditional cafeteria, but still. At least there was a stage.

So the people that performed were Gamma Phi Delta (a Christian frat), Alphas, AKAs, and Deltas. There was a praise and worship at the beginning too. Maybe it will make up for the fact that I didn't go to church today. So I was able to meet the Xi Omicron chapter of AKA, and they are really sweet! I like them alot, they seemed really genuine. Just a good group of girls. I like the Alphas too. Their chapter mostly consists of UNH students, and the guys are cool. I thought that everyone's performances were good that night, but I was really surprised by the Deltas' performance. I'm so used to them being hard and beastly. But they're weak steppers up here. But in general, people step differently in New Haven than what I've seen before. It's more loose, more laidback. But I liked it.

So throughout the show, I chilled with this one Alpha named Jeffery. Jeffery is amazing. He's already at a great accounting firm, and he's working on his Masters degree (in accounting). He just seems to have his life together, and perhaps he's where I'd like to see myself by the time I'm 25. So He called me when I got back to my apartment, and we decided to go out to eat at Denny's lol. It was one of the only places open at 1:00 AM, lol. So we're talking, I think that we annoyed the waitress, cuz we talked so much (well he talked a lot, and I listened, that's what happens when you go out to eat with old souls). She'd come over and ask us if we were ready to order, and we'd be so immersed in the conversation that we'd forget to check the menu. Well, we ended up staying at Denny's and talking til around 3:00. There was also a siting at Denny's: a certain boy in my class was out on a date with someone! He likes the guys that are a little thuggish, but cute! But I'm getting off track. So we left Denny's, and he drove me back to my apartment. He asked if he could use my bathroom. So I showed him my apartment, etc, and we talked on the couch and stuff. LOL, even he was listening to my new Sean Paul CD. He left at 4 AM. 4 AM, I tell ya. But we can be friends.
