Birthday Fun!

Oh birthdays, how I adore them. Luckily, each one always leaves a twinkling and magical memory for me to share with everyone! And so it begins...

At 12:00 AM on October 7th, dear sweet nessie ness gave me a present quite dear to my heart. A card speaking of the wonderful friendship we have established, a belly dancing kit (we've got jokes, lol), a Japanese bookmark, and the book, Memoirs of a Geisha. If you don't know about the significance of the geisha in my life, then you'll have to ask, hehe. Thereafter, I had sweet dreams of fabulous birthday fun! In the morn, we woke up quite early, cuz we were on a mission: to get to West Farms Mall in Farmington, CT and have the time of our lives. So we were on the road. Well, we had to make pitstops first. I went to the school to pick up my check. Vanessa needed to go to Dunkin Donuts to get her morning coffee fix. Well, we went to officially the worst Dunkin Donuts in the world. When I pulled up to the drive thru, no one brightly chirped good morning to us. So I stuck my head out the window, and yelled "hiiiii!!!" . Well, the lady was prolly thinking, who the heck is this little girl??? So she finally took our order, and I asked for a chocolate iced donut (which she didn't have a clue about). We got to the window, paid, got the donuts and coffee. We looked in the bag, and she gave us three donuts, instead of two. Now this would've been hot, but unfortunately, she gave us 2 chocolate cake donuts. Ew, ew, ew.

So we were on our way, to Farmington! That is, until we missed the turn to go to Middletown. Ahh, lost in CT! We basically had to take the long way, through town on the 40 MPH road (no 80 MPH for me), with policemen everywhere. I was kinda hyperventilating, cuz I thought we were lost. And then we were both having hot flashes. Luckily, we found the beltway, and got to Farmington in no time. So we were window shopping, and imagine our surprise when we found a Rainforest Cafe!! So Vanessa and I ate there for my birthday lunch. How I love Rainforest Cafe, with the golden god, various exotic animals, and simulated thunderstorms. I decided to go all out, and ordered a tasty appetizer (tortilla chips with an amazing crab dip). We had a waiter, but then another girl came over to tell us that she would be our new waitress, cuz our other waiter was busy. So throughout the meal, both of them came to our table, asking us if we needed something. Quite confusing. Anyways, I had a barbecue bacon cheeseburger, which was quite delicious. Then Vanessa got the waiters to sing happy birthday to me, and I had a dessert called the Volcano! It basically was 5 pieces of chocolate cake in a shape of a volcano, with the whipped cream, ice cream, caramel, and hot fudge acting as the lava. We really couldn't eat everything, so we had like 3 takeout boxes! it was definitely an amazing meal!

After our meal, we decided to leave the mall. Vanessa deemed the bathroom unsanitary at Rainforest Cafe, so she decided to hold it til she got home. Now let's remember, it take about an hour to get back to New Haven from Farmington. So in the last part of the ride home, Vanessa was getting antsy, hehe. She had to go really bad. And we had tons of obstacles that kept her waiting :( We got stuck in traffic on 95. We got stuck behind slow people on 122, about 10 minutes from the apartment. We even got stopped by a school bus. When we finally got to the apartment, she jumped out of the car and ran to the potty. It was such a me moment, lol. But after that I picked up present from my parents, and they got me a Lifedrive PDA and pajamas. I'm quite excited about this new toy, hehe.

So the night began. Vanessa and I got decked out, looked all hot and sexy. We arrived at Happy Hour an hour late. That's ok, we were worth the wait:

But we looked way too nice for the sportsbar. Some gross man asked for my name, and I was like, um no.

So I had a shot with Norm at the sportsbar. I mingled, etc with everyone in my program. I decided that I wanted some beer, but there weren't any glasses left. So I decided to do this:

And I decided it was permissible so I took a pic like this:

After awhile we got tired of the Sports Bar, and went to Nitin's apt for some fun. But first, Vanessa and I changed into some comfy sweats. We got there, and everyone was playing their drinking games. But Vanessa and I didn't want beer, we wanted wine. But Nitin couldn't find his corkscrew, so we had to go to the store and buy one. But when we came back, the fun times began. But of course, Vanessa had to say that MD's part of the south, and this is the look that occurred:

So after awhile, we headed over to a bar/lounge called Blue Cube. I had so many drinks, I was quite intoxicated. It's a wonder that I'm not hungover today. But anyways, I danced, drank, and entertained. So all in all, it was a wonderful birthday! I'll leave you with a pic of Gaird and me, drunk and loving it!
