Live from Morgan Stanley

I am so bad ass, haha. I'm posting from work, so terrible. But I need a break, a comforting one.

Hmm. So I've been working at the library and working at MS for the past few weeks. No class, bitches! Don't be jealous ;)Currently, I only have about 140 hours left at the library, and then I'm done with it. FOREVER! Oh, I will miss Anne, Ayo, and the rest of the ppl there. But let's face it, it's time to move on.

Along with working excessively, I have also taken up working out for the past 2 weeks. Yes, you read that correctly. Alisha works out! Ahh! No, I really needed to, after my HBP scare. I've been trying to eat more healthy, run for about 20-30 mins on the treadmill. Most of the time, I don't accomplish that goal, haha. But I'm trying to go to the gym as often as possible. Like last night, I ran for a while before Ugly Betty.

I have excitement at work. Not so much. Actually, I have a secret love/crush. Hell no, he does not work in HR. He works... somewhere in the building, darn it! I saw him 4 times last week, and it was so amazing. I didn't see him at all this week, and I yearned for him. Haha. Not really. We haven't even met, I just look lustfully at him from a distance. OK, maybe not lustfully. But longingly at least. He's got wavy hair, droopy eyes. He's cute. Here is my fantasy scenario:

Hot boy and I happen to pass each other in the cafeteria. I drop my ID card. He picks it up for me, and I graciously thank him. Then I proceed to ask him (or maybe he'll ask me) if we can sit together and have lunch. Next, we're sharing apartments. HAHAHA.

Um, this weekend sounds like fun. Tomorrow, I may have the opportunity to see Kim. Kim, whom I haven't seen since New Years. Yay! We've been too busyy. It's time to stop and smell the roses. It's time to have fun with friends, and enjoy our youth. I don't know where I'm going with this, but call or email me if you haven't contacted me in awhile. I miss you!

Less than an hour til I leave on a blissful train ride to New Haven!

Last Few Weeks

Sorry for my lack of posts. With London, my cousin's wedding, Christmas, and New Years, it has been QUITE a hectic month.

So London was amazing. So was Paris! You can read about it in my Yahoo Trip Journal, which there is a link for at the beginning of this post.

When I got back from my trip, I had to go to Morgan Stanley for a day. After work, I drove down to MD. The next day, after a little shopping at NR, I went to my older cousin Kevin's wedding to his longtime GF, Fabiana. I think that it was a cute ceremony, held in his apartment, and it was catered, etc.

Soon, it was Christmas! I received a lot of presents. My Mom ended up buying me like 9 different perfumes because she claims that it'll "help me catch a man". I also got shoes, hoodies, undies, etc. Good times. Mom and I later on went to my aunt's house. The major thing about this gathering was that it helped Fabiana's brother and I exchange numbers.

Daniel and I went out on the day after Christmas. We basically spent 8 hours at Tysons Corner together. We walked around the mall, ate Chinese for dinner. Very cute. He's from Sao Paolo, Brazil and this was just a vacation for him. We decided to see the movie Blood Diamond, which makes me think twice about buying diamonds.

I really liked going out with Daniel, since he's very romantic, and likes to caress ppl, but it wasn't necessarily interpreted as a sexual caress. Actually, he caressed my face with his hand and I was rewarded with 2 zits from the contact :P
But I think that he's very much in touch with romance and holding hands and stuff. All the mushy gushy stuff. Too bad that he lives in Brazil and that he's an absolutely terrible kisser. It makes me wonder if in order to find someone that is romantic and sweet, will I have to suffer with terrible kissing, or worse, terrible bedroom skills? I just wonder.

New Years was interesting in the sense that it didnt turn out as planned. Yes, Jamie and I met up at around 1 pm, ate at Better Burger. The proceeded to eat with Annie and her friends at a cute Cuban Cafe, where Patrick also met us. But the rest of the night just got weird. Like, Jamie and I walked all around Times Square, etc trying to find an open movie theatre. Because we really didn't have much to do before the festivities began. Then, we paid for the tail end of Charlotte's Web and snuck into the last 40 mins of Dream Girls. Jamie wasn't up for partying though, so I went to Umesh's party, where Navin and other WM ppl were. Kim was at the Night at the Roxbury, seeing sean paul. Sigh, damn the fact that we all couldn't get tickets. But it still ended up being a pretty good new years. And Kim, Raj, Navin and I had a brunch the next day. So that was cute.

I really don't care if I end up an old spinster, as long as I have my family, friends, dignity, intelligence, and career. Oh yeah, and my figure, which I will have once I lose 12.5 pounds.
